  • Should I stay home during a roof replacement?

    No, You can go about your daily life. It can get noisy and dirty and the contractors will keep in touch with you via phone or text. 

  • How long can I expect my roof system to last?

     The GAF golden pledge warranty roof system is a lifetime roofing product, however, service life of any roof is influenced by attic ventilation and insulation. An improper roofing system can shorten the life of your roof. Other factors would include slope or pitch of the roof as well as low hanging trees and foliage, these could effect how well the roof dries or traps moisture to encourage mold growth. 

  • Can I do the work myself?

     Depending on your knowledge, skill, training and tools. If you have all of these, then you can but hiring professionals can bring certain warranties and know how. 

  • How do I prepare my house for a new roof?

    Allow perimeter access, including moving cars, lawn furniture and other miscellaneous lawn items. Cover the items in the attic to protect them from debris and sawdust that could fall during the insulation. Remove delicate items from walls, especially in newer homes, as they could vibrate off during the tear off. Remove cars, or other motor vehicles from the garage or cover items that you don’t want dust and dirt on and provide outside power outlets. 

  • Will homeowners insurance pay for a new roof?

    Sometimes, If there is a weather event that causes damage to your home, your insurance company may repair or replace. Check your insurance policy for more detailed information.
