Our Team

Terry Burke

Owner/Founder

Terry is the owner and founder of NorthWest Construction and has been in the industry since 1992. He has been a Roofing Contractor for over 25 years, is a licensed builder, and has experience in all phases of residential remodeling. The family business was founded by Terry in 2003 and has grown into a successful construction company. Terry has a passion for home improvement remodeling with a focus on roofing, siding, gutters, and custom porch overhangs. He is a father to three wonderful children, a husband, and a dog owner. An outdoor enthusiast, in his free time he enjoys biking and as a new empty nester he now has time to work on side projects.

Laura Burke

Office Manager

Laura manages NorthWest Construction’s office. She is always there to assist our customers in any way that is necessary to meet your needs.

John Lakatos

Project Coordinator

John is a Northwest Construction project manager who focuses on roofing and siding. He graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a degree in construction management. John is a Dearborn native and has been with Northwest Construction since 2017. John is also a dog owner and an outdoor enthusiast. In his free time, he can be found backpacking, canoeing, or kayaking.

Steve Cartwright

Project Manager

Steve Cartwright is NorthWest Construction’s top project manager for all projects the company is involved in. Steve is responsible for overseeing and supervising construction projects from start to finish. Steve supervises other workers and keeps a smile on everyone’s face while on the job. He has been in the business for over 40 years with a plethora of experience. He teaches the youngsters on the job with techniques he has learned over the years, and they are grateful for his knowledge and wisdom. Steve is a sports’ enthusiast, and when his construction hat is off, he enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, kids, grandkids and is now a great grandpa. He often says, ‘I am truly blessed’.
